Jamell Walker, MD

Jamell Walker moves to Florida with her husband and son as a homecoming to the Southern culture of her childhood.  She chose the practice of Obstetrics/Gynecology because she is able to help women during many of the major milestones in their lives.  She strives to be approachable and seeks to enter into a caring partnership of medical treatment.

Jamell has lived all over the US but considers herself to be from California, where she attended Stanford University for her undergraduate education.  Her California upbringing supports her bubbly nature and embracing of people from various backgrounds.  She moved from California to Boston, MA where she received her master's degree from the Harvard School of Public Health.  She focused her research on doctor-patient communication.  After working for several years, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream to become a doctor.  She graduated from Southern Illinois University Medical School and completed her residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

In her spare time, Jamell is a movie buff who also enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and two small dogs.  Jamell loves the ocean is excited to visit the many beaches and parks Florida has to offer.
