Angie Deeb Cancer Unit - Inpatient area
The Angie Deeb Cancer Unit is the only inpatient cancer unit in the Big Bend. Located on the 7th floor of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, it offers 26 all-private rooms with full baths, and a "Gathering Place" for families. The unit was originally created over 30 years ago through charitable contributions from real estate developer, builder and philanthropist Syde P. Deeb, and his daughter Marcia Deeb Thornberry in honor and memory of Angie C. Deeb, wife of Syde and mother of Marcia. A multi-million dollar renovation of the Angie Deeb Cancer Unit was accomplished in 2008 in part by contributions from the Deeb family and a host of other TMH friends and supporters.
